This sweet family just recently moved to Denver this year, like myself. Moving across the country is hard, but add in a couple kids, and it makes it even harder. So much worrying takes place, not so much for ourselves but for our children. We always make these decisions because we feel we would be providing a better life for them. I remember thinking to myself before we moved…am I just suffering from the grass is always greener syndrome? It’s scary! But ultimately, we all adapt and make the best of the situation. We are offering our children new experiences, new cultures, new adventures, and change is good. It teaches us to adapt.
We had such a gorgeous night with pretty warm light. Mom & childrens’ outfits all borrowed from my studio wardrobe – complimentary in every session!

First birthday studio sessions are always so much fun!! Filled with lots of laughs, plenty of cake, and the cutest little personalities.
And a bonus of shooting in my studio? I have a large kitchen sink that’s perfect for cleaning up kiddos at the end of their cake smash sessions. Because we all know half the fun is making the mess!

I had my flower farm minis last month and wow, the blooms this year were absolutely beautiful! Here are some of my favorite photos from this sweet session!
How is it already August?! Where has the time gone? I`m sure all my fellow parents are wondering the same thing.
This summer has been a whirlwind in the best way. Between photographing so many wonderful families, soaking up time with my kids while they`re home from school, and traveling to Florida, New York, and Seattle, it`s flown by.
Now I`m ready for cozy evenings, golden light, and all things fall.
