This sweet family just recently moved to Denver this year, like myself. Moving across the country is hard, but add in a couple kids, and it makes it even harder. So much worrying takes place, not so much for ourselves but for our children. We always make these decisions because we feel we would be providing a better life for them. I remember thinking to myself before we moved…am I just suffering from the grass is always greener syndrome? It’s scary! But ultimately, we all adapt and make the best of the situation. We are offering our children new experiences, new cultures, new adventures, and change is good. It teaches us to adapt.

Do you prefer the color or black and white version?
I personally love the fall colors from this session, but there’s something so timeless about black and white. It really freezes the moment In time!
This family has been with me since I opened my studio in Centennial, CO, and it’s always such a joy seeing them year after year. I love switching things up between studio sessions and outdoor sessions, and I’m endlessly grateful for families who continue to come back.
